Special Education — ABM
Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's Curriculum for Special Education
The Special Education-ABM program will offer students in the Special Education Undergraduate Program the opportunity to apply to the ABM program in their senior year at Auburn University. In the Special Education-ABM program, students will count 9 approved hours toward their 30-hour Traditional Master’s Programs. Students who are admitted to the Special Education-ABM program who earn a B or higher in the following classes, RSED 6100, RSED 6110, and RSED 6190, can apply the course credits towards the undergraduate and graduate degree. A passing grade less than a B cannot count towards the graduate degree but may count towards the undergraduate degree In order to be admitted into the Special Education-ABM program students will complete an ABM Application with their graduate advisor.
In order to be admitted to the ABM Special Education Program students must have at least 45 hours of credit, with at least 24 completed at Auburn University. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher on all coursework completed at Auburn. Students must be making successful progress towards earning their Undergraduate Special Education bachelor's degree and must meet admission criteria to be admitted into the Special Education Traditional Master's Degree program.
In order to be admitted into the ABM Special Education Program students will complete an ABM Application with their graduate advisor. The ABM Application will include the courses that count for the undergraduate and graduate degree and will delineate projected dates for completion of the bachelor's and master's degree. Students in the Honors College remain eligible to graduate with Honors while participating and should consult with an Honors advisor.
