Electrical and Computer Engineering — ABM

Accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s Curriculum for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's Program (ABM) provides an opportunity for highly motivated undergraduate students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering an opportunity to earn both the bachelor's and the master's degrees in less time and at less cost than usual. The ABM program allows these exceptional students to count up to 9 hours toward both the bachelor's and master's degrees. Two undergraduate majors (Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering) can lead to a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (thesis and non-thesis) in the ABM Program.

ELEC 6xxx/7xxx elective courses are approved courses that can be taken in the ABM program that replace ELEC electives at the undergraduate level for students pursing the Electrical Engineering Degree. CMPE 6xxx/7xxx elective courses are approved courses that can be taken in the ABM program that replace CMPE electives at the undergraduate level for students pursing the Computer Engineering Degree.

Below is an example curriculum for a student in Electrical Engineering pursing the MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering (non-thesis). Please see the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering website for additional information and ABM tracks.
