Laboratory Science (LBSC) - Histotechnology Track

This curriculum prepares students for laboratory careers in fields such as public health, bacteriology, environmental testing, industrial quality control, research, non-diagnostic laboratory testing, and forensic science. This concentration prepares students to work in diagnostic histology labs. Upon degree conferral, graduates are able to gain employment through East Alabama Healthcare to receive clinical experience required for the Histotechnologist (HT) certification through Americal Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

If a second LITERATURE sequence is chosen, this course must be a CORE SOCIAL SCIENCE.  If a second HISTORY sequence is chosen, this course must be a CORE HUMANITIES.
