Science Teaching Double Major
AUTeach is a teacher preparation program designed for undergraduate science students in the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM). The program consists of a 30-hour science teaching major that is available only as a second major added to a COSAM science degree. Students who complete the science teaching requirements along with the requirements of their COSAM degree will earn a double-major in science teaching and will be certified to teach grade 6-12 science in Alabama public schools. Typically, COSAM students are able to complete the AUTeach science teaching major within 4 years.
