Child Life — MS

Traditional Child Life Program 

The Master of Science degree in Child Life requires a minimum of 34 semester hours. Students who successfully complete this program will be eligible to sit for the child life certification examination. The program will include academic work and field work (practicum/internship/internship student supervision) to prepare future certified child life specialists.

Advanced Standing Child Life Program

The Master of Science degree in Child Life (Advanced Standing Program) requires a minimum of 34 semester hours. Students who have completed a 600+ hour child life internship or who are currently Certified Child Life Specialists may qualify for admission into the online Advanced Standing Child Life Program. The program will utilize the certified Child Life experience within the academic coursework to expand on their current scope of practice.
