Plant Pathology Minor

A Graduate Minor in Plant Pathology (PLPA) is offered for non-majors wishing to obtain training in a broad range of both basic and applied plant pathology course material promoting more plentiful food and fiber while protecting our natural ecosystems.The PLPA graduate minor requires 9 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in plant pathology (9 hours must be at the 6000 level or above). The student’s graduate committee must include a faculty member from the plant pathology department, and the student must demonstrate competence in the application of plant pathology principles and research problems. The latter requirement is typically met via a chapter or section in the student’s thesis or dissertation.
