Advanced Manufacturing Minor
Alabama Industry, the Department of Commerce and the Department of Defense have identified a lack of manufacturing process knowledge as a critical element in the development of the next generation of manufacturing engineers and workers.
This minor, like manufacturing in general, is open to all majors within the College of Engineering and the Auburn University community.
Students will take the following five required courses (17 hours).
Code | Title | Hours |
---|---|---|
INSY 6700 | Digital Drawings, Geometric Tolerances, and Metrology for Industry 4.0 | 4 |
INSY 6710 | Basic Concepts of 21st Century Manufacturing Processes | 3 |
INSY 6720 | Advanced Concepts of 21st Century Manufacturing Processes | 3 |
INSY 6730 | Concepts of Computer Numerical Controls | 4 |
INSY 6740 | Concepts of Industry 4.0 | 3 |
