Forest Business and Investment — MS Online Program
Curriculum – 31 credit hours
The Forest Business and Investment program requires 31 credit hours of graduate coursework, of which a minimum of 16 hours must be from the Core. If students do not have a sound forestry background, they must take FORY 7320. The remaining 12–15 credits for the degree can be chosen based on student interest.
Degree Program Core: All are 3 credits except Forest Business and Investment Seminar. All core and elective courses are fully online except FORY 7300 (16–19 credits required).
- FORY 7320 – Forest Growth, Silviculture, and Management (only if they don’t have a forestry background; If they don’t, they will need to take this course their first semester.) (3 credits)
- FORY 7400 – Forest Valuation and Economics (3 credits)
- FORY 7650 – Forest Operations and Wood Supply Chain Management (3 credits)
- FORY 7620 – Forest Finance, Accounting and Taxation (3 credits)
- BUSI 7110 – Financial Analysis (3 credits)
- FORY 7350 – Applied Statistics for Forest Business (3 credits)
- FORY 7300 – Forest Business & Investment Seminar (1 credit required)
Supporting Electives: All are 3 credits (12–15 credits needed) or (any 4–5 courses below).

- FINC 6250 – Real Estate Finance — must be taken after BUSI 7110.
- FINC 6260 – Real Estate Investment — must be taken after BUSI 7110.
- FINC 7640 – Advanced Investments — must be taken after BUSI 7110.
