Basic literary genres and important texts in the German-speaking literary landscape from the 18th century to the present. Analysis within their respective historical and cultural contexts. Learning critical concepts and skills around storytelling, narrative, and creative agency. Required of all majors.

FLGR 3200 LANGUAGES ACROSS THE CURRICULUM SEMINAR IN GERMAN (1) LEC. 1. Pr. FLGR 2010 or Departmental approval. Language component with readings and in-class discussions to complement a lecture course in English and in a discipline other than German. Parallel enrollment is recommended. Emphasis placed on audience awareness, performative practices, and mastering interactive language skills.
