Master of Accountancy — MAcc

The following are the requirements for the Campus and Online Options of the Master of Accountancy program.

The Campus MAcc program is non-thesis 30-semester hour program. There are four required courses (12 hours) and students must choose 9 hours in ACCT courses and 9 hours in either ACCT or Business (BUAL, FINC, or ISMN) courses to complete the degree requirements.

The Online MAcc program is a non-thesis 42-semester hour program unless students have already completed at least 21-semester hours in undergraduate accounting coursework. If applicants have completed the equivalent of an undergraduate accounting degree, they can complete the Master of Accountancy degree with only 30-semester hours.

Students who have completed prior equivalent accounting coursework will receive course waivers and will complete the degree with fewer hours. A minimum of 30 hours is required to earn the degree.
