AVMF 3281 COMMERCIAL PILOT FLIGHT TRAINING III (2) LAB. 6. Pr. AVMF 3271. Continuation of AVMF 3271 towards FAA Commercial Pilot Certification. Emphasis on performing duties as pilot-in-command, abnormal and emergency operations, as well as multi-point cross-country flying to attain the knowledge, skill, and proficiency of a commercial pilot. Sufficient ground and flight instruction is given towards an FAA Multi-Engine Airplane additional class rating for a Commercial Pilot certificate. Special fees. AVMF 4280 PRINCIPLES OF FLIGHT INSTRUCTION (3) LEC. 3. Pr. AVMF 3281. Principles of teaching as applied to instructing, analyzing, and evaluating flight students. Emphasis is on preparation for the FAA Fundamentals of Instructing (FOI) and the Flight Instructor-Airplane (FIA) Aeronautical Knowledge Tests. Special Fee. Departmental approval required.

AVMF 4310 TRANSPORT CATEGORY AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS (3) LEC. 3. Study of design and operation of the major systems in transport category aircraft. Systems include turbine engine, fuel, lubrication, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, pressurization, environmental control, and flight management. The course also examines the use of normal and abnormal checklists and their relation to system operation. Special Fee.
AVMF 4320 AIRLINE TRANSPORT CATEGORY PROCEDURES (4) LEC. 3. LAB. 1. Pr. AVMF 2251 and AVMF 4310. Study of operational procedures for Transport Category Aircraft. Captain / First Officer and Pilot Flying / Pilot Monitoring duties during normal and abnormal operations in all regimes of flight will be studied in class and in the Transport Category Aircraft simulator.
